Kyle Walker-Peters is still on the Stamford Bridge team's radar as they continue their search for a new right-back.

The Stamford Bridge team is still looking for a new right-back, and Kyle Walker-Peters is on their radar.

Chelsea may be interested in signing Kyle Walker-Peters, according to Fabrizio Romano via Caughtoffside. The Southampton star is one of several well-known candidates for the right-back position that the Premier League’s powerhouse teams are looking at.

Currently, Chelsea is having a rough patch of play. As injuries continue to hurt their chances this season, the Premier League team’s three straight losses have caused them to drop in the standings. This team’s fullbacks Reece James and Ben Chilwell are essential players, and their absence in recent weeks was felt.

Chelsea should consider making important decisions in January during the World Cup break. As the club looks to strengthen the squad, the transfer market will take center stage in January.

One of those is a new right back, for which Chelsea is looking at a number of candidates. January targets include Denzel Dumfries of Inter Milan. It will take a lot of work to convince the Dutchman to join, as the Blues might consider Premier League targets.

Kyle Walker-Peters of Southampton is also on their short list, but the 25-year-old English right-back will cost just as much. The Saints won’t rush to offload the 25-year-old English right-back because his contract is good until 2025. This is especially true in January.

They could evaluate generous offers over the summer and use the money to hire other successful children to replace Walker-Peter. However, it would be foolish for Southampton to think about a sale in January given their current positions.

Depending on Chelsea’s availability, they might think about approaching him in January or the summer. They are also aware of outside interest in the 25-year-old English right-back, with Tottenham being one of the interested parties.

Since joining Southampton, Walker-Peters has gained recognition. Although it is unlikely that he would continue playing for the Saints after this season, he has played 93 times for them. Whether Chelsea ends up being his new club is still up in the air, but his skills demand a more competitive team.

Chelsea supporters disagree with Graham Potter’s decision, and Todd Boehly submitted an urgent plea to Thomas Tuchel

Following the Blues’ 1-0 loss to Newcastle United, Chelsea supporters have disagreed on what will happen to Graham Potter. As the west Londoners enter the World Cup outside of the European qualification spots, the head coach has come in for criticism from some sections of the club’s fanbase.

A few fans have started voicing their concerns about Potter, the 47-year-old’s capacity to guide the team into a new era. With Brighton, Liverpool, and Manchester United standing in the way of a top-four spot, Chelsea have lost their last five Premier League games and are sliding down the table.

However, despite the flurry of criticism, an equal number of Blues supporters have defended Potter and placed the blame on Todd Boehly. The American billionaire has come under fire for firing Thomas Tuchel and then plunging the newly appointed Chelsea manager into chaos.

In light of this, football.london has compiled some of the responses to the Chelsea manager and co-owner.

@lewdawg tweeted: “The real victim is Potter. In the midst of an injury crisis, Boehly forced him into the most hostile situation he has ever encountered with the worst team we have seen in years.”

@CatenaccioEra tweeted: “I have absolutely no affinity for the endeavor of Boehly and Potter. I apologize, but I must admit that I cannot tolerate this cultural shift. especially given how much of a drop down it is. This isn’t the club where I first fell in love.”

@Kiswili_10 tweeted: “Thomas Tuchel was fired by Todd Boehly for Graham Potter, is it true? That’s hardly a crime at all…”

@TuchelCam tweeted: “Potter I’m so sorry Boehly dragged you into this mess.”

One supporter even tweeted a request for Tuchel to return to Chelsea. “Come back @TTuchelofficial,” wrote @CFCDUBois, tagging the former Blues manager directly.

Potter shed light on how the numerous injuries his team has sustained have contributed to a string of losing performances as the red mist continues to cover Chelsea supporters. The Blues manager said in a statement to the media: “It’s not nice to not get results. It’s that easy, but I need to consider why that is and the circumstances we have faced.

The process hasn’t exactly been simple. We’ve played a lot of games, and a few key player injuries have shaken us up. Today, you can see that they are once again absent.

“Recently, I went through a really difficult time. You face four of the teams that are performing at their peak in the Premier League, and that could be difficult for you. Even though we find it difficult to accept, we must attempt to move on.
