Refusing to be ‘Judas’, Chelsea’s future Ballon d’or decides to become ‘loyal symbol’ in London

Christian Pulisic, a winger for Chelsea, is reportedly seeking a transfer away from the club this season.

The 24-year-old struggles to get playing time for the Premier League’s powerhouses because he is way down the pecking order.

The American No. 10’s contract is about to expire, so Chelsea must decide whether it makes sense to cash in now or wait until his worth plummets if he doesn’t quickly sign a new deal.

Despite seeing a minor increase in playing time under the new manager Graham Potter and having a hand in many goals after the change, Pulisic has still been used more as a substitute than a starter.

Despite Potter and Tuchel regularly passing over Pulisic’s talents, a study at his club statistics for goals and assists per 90 minutes still show him to be a better option than teammates Kai Havertz, Mason Mount, and Raheem Sterling.

It would seem likely that Potter would be prepared to let the winger go as he continues to assemble the squad due to his inconsistent play. With the USA’s World Cup progression dependent on Tuesday’s decisive match against Iran, Pulisic’s immediate goal is to advance the USA to the knockout stages.

In response to compliments after their victory over England, he commented, “We still have a lot of work to do.” ‘Everyone back home watching us versus England, I hope we made a lot of people proud. However, the task isn’t even close to being finished, so we still have a lot of work to do.’

After the draws against Wales and England, he received a lot of plaudits since, on numerous occasions, he appeared to be the most threatening player on the field with the ball in his hands.
